About Us – Overview

We provide a well-balanced, outstanding academic education to students of all faiths and communities of Manchester. Founded in 1984, the school provides a Christian environment in which young people are safe, secure, cared for and happy and are able to develop into articulate, well-qualified citizens of the world.

A vibrant, diverse and innovative academy, our ethos is based on mutual respect and common endeavour. We seek to develop in students the joy of discovery and the discipline of study, whilst creating an atmosphere of belonging and security. We are passionate about excellence in education, and giving students the very best start in life with a firm belief that inspired teaching transforms lives.

The school has developed significantly in recent years, the latest addition being our Sixth Form which opened in September, 2016. We are uniquely placed in the heart of the University District and as such enjoy close links with many academic departments. We also benefit from a wide range of other superb facilities right on our doorstep.
